Called here for a drink. Nice setting, spacious with plenty of seating inside and outside. Popular with diners. Definitely worth a visit.

Soul Brew at Jeremy's on Sunday 11th Jan 2024......My first time at the northern soul run by the Soul Brew team. I'd heard several reports about this regular monthly event and a pretty mixed bag so thought it's time I try it for myself. Why oh why didn't I go sooner ?? The whole place was buzzing when I arrived, packed to the gills & a big crowd of folk filled the dancefloor strutting their stuff as only a soulie ๐Ÿฅซ can. Lots of friends both old & new, brilliant music, a really happy, feel good evening and I even got my No 1 track played (The Bottle Gil Scott Heron ) so cheers Stuart !! Overall marks out of 10? A pretty easy 15 I ๐Ÿค” think. Thank you guys for a really good soul session, KTF โ˜† โ˜† โ˜† Back again last night ๐ŸŒ™ This event gets better every time if that's possible!!! Really classic tracks, Motown, Stax etc etc, I even spotted a new friend from the Hifi in Leeds the minute I got close to my group of friends ๐Ÿงก The best part of all ? Because I'm a bit of a chatter box as well as the folk I grew up with in The Vic Lounge back in the 70s, underage naturally ๐Ÿ˜† but who wasn't back then !!! There lots of new folk I've now met in local clubs that I can also call friends & guess where a lot of us are getting together this Friday?? You'll have to wait & see but I'll give a bit of a hint.... It's a pub in Shelf that's having an opening night & my old buddySmokin Joe's from Halifax Free Soul is the DJ so it'll be ๐Ÿ‘ xx Think it's fair to say that we slightly rocked the house on Sunday night & anyone who's not given this excellent Northern venue a try well you need your bumps felt ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ or in more modern language your head tested , cheers to the wonderful DJs who make this possible & their amazing music xx Awesome, brilliant & pretty amazing Northern gig. Why so many local soulers don't go I'm not sure but they're certainly missing a treat ๐Ÿ˜… Perhaps I should be better at keeping secrets but words spreading about the quality of the music and all their regulars. Seriously Keeping the Faith Due to a mix up the date this month was changed but I went to the Thursday session instead ๐Ÿ™ƒ WOW!! Not everyone who usually goes but a lot of friends and a gorgeous wedding had had their reception there. Nothing nicer than seeing a new bride and groom, looking really pleased with themselves but just a little bit coy about their new status !! ๐Ÿ™Œ We had a quick word as they were leaving as she looked beautiful so I said just that. Stunning long dark hair and beautiful dress, not much different to my Mum and Dad NOT that I was there at the time but I have seen the pictures ๐Ÿ“ธ ๐Ÿ–ผ !! Another excellent set from the lads behind the decks & friends from allover so well worth a visit, there was even a bit of space on the dancefloor but I didn't take any pictures because with Smartphones and folk Bluetooth'ing everywhere they often turn out as nothing but blurs and nobody wants a pic of my feet I promise ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜œ

We visited on Tuesday evening at 7pm and waited at the bar to be served a round of drinks. When we asked where we could sit to eat they replied โ€œweโ€™ve shut the kitchen at 7, it was really quiet and the chef had an emergencyโ€. There were several tables eating food and absolutely no indication that the kitchen had been shut. Weโ€™d just ordered a full round of drinks and were not even offered an apology for the inconvenience. When we expressed this to the bar man he shrugged and basically said it was our fault for not asking about food sooner - quite frankly he couldnโ€™t have been more rude if he tried. Absolutely appalling experience and weโ€™ll never be returning, manners and customer service cost nothing.

Disappointing Visit โ€“ Wonโ€™t Be Rushing Back Visited Jeremyโ€™s at The Boathouse in Brighouse and sadly left underwhelmed. The food was just okay โ€“ nothing special โ€“ but the biggest letdown was the service. My meatballs arrived cold, which was disappointing enough, but what really stood out was the lack of care from the staff. Not once were we asked if everything was alright with our meal, and at no point did anyone check if we wanted more drinks. The staff seemed more interested in standing around chatting at the end of the bar than actually looking after customers. For a place that looks the part, the service really let it down. A bit more attention to guests would go a long way. #Brighouse #JeremysBoathouse #DisappointingService #ColdFood #RestaurantReview #PoorCustomerService #DoBetter #DiningOut #HonestReview #SupportBetterService

Regularly go for Sunday lunch. Not as good this time. A bit cold. Ran out of various beers. Come on Jeremy's you can do better! Was a Northern soul afternoon so always packed. Great atmosphere. Service a bit slow but it was a nice day and very busy. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious and hot
