Market Tavern

The Market Tavern in Brighouse opened in March opposite Blakeleys Fish Shop at the market end of the main car park. This small pub is friendly, cosy, sells a range of 6 good real ales accompanied by real cider. The bar is split into a tradtional bar area with a more lounge-ish area to the rear. The beer garden sits to the rear of the property overlooking the market stalls. Vocation Chop and Change, Small World Long Moor Pale Abbeydale Chocolate Orange, all of which were in great condition and only encourages a return regularly with a good rotation of beer on their 6 pumps. The pub is open on bank holiday Mondays.

Ok real ale pub in centre of Brighouse. Room a bit like your front room where everyone hears your conversation and joins in so if you want a quiet chat just you and a mate it's not the place for you. £4.20 for a nice porter was top end of the price scale so unfortunately wouldn't be having a session more like the odd pint

I believe this was the first real ale bar in brighouse correct me if I am wrong but it attracts a different clientele but that’s always a positive to have plus it’s next to the canal not far from the train station or bus station I think the location is key plus it’s bang on where the market is so the name is just the right thing to have . I think there having a refurb but definitely inside is comfy n welcoming I would highly recommend I believe dog friendly also some good Ales on top

A fantastic little gem. Beautifully decorated, warm, and cosy. We had a very warm welcome. There was a good range of hand pulled beer, approx 10 gins, and a selection of other spirits.

Lovely little pub with friendly landlady, landlord and regulars. Good selection of real ales, with the Goose Eye bitter a nice surprise and excellent drink. Complementary potted beef bread cakes a welcome extra and very nice.
