This is a large, modern one-roomed pub. It attracts a wide variety of people, including shoppers during the day and at night party-goers attending themed evenings. There are many boothed seating areas and standard tabled seating for dining and drinking. It was aquired by Stonegate in 2014 and refurbished. 3 draught Keg beers are available.

    Been a while since I've been here, it really put me off with the staff that thought it was some sort of hang out. Me and husband used to come here before COVID and the renovations and used to love it, staff and food were great back then, but it seemed to take a nose dive, nothing to do with the food but the service.The bar staff they have at present are very attentive and polite and it is the same great chef that has worked there for a long time. Service and food are great once again. Thanks to all the staff at Calder

    Popped in for some lunch and a couple of pints one Friday on the eve of the 1940's weekend and the FA Cup final. First time since the revamp and it's an impressive place. Was quiet when I first arrived, but started to get busy after lunch. Good menu and I like how they bundle up their meal deals in a similar way to a nearby competing pub. Good range of ales and food. Added to this, the gents toilets (always a good measure of how a pub is managed for me), are top notch and spotless! Had a chicken wrap which was very tasty. Out of curiosity - also went in the following day during the footy and the place was rammed. Too busy for me though. Will certainly be back the next time I'm out on the lash in Brighouse.

    Came in for the first time in probably 5 years- still the same manager for over 10 years whoch was nice to see! He was involved in actively running the service. Lovely professional service, food was cooked to perfection. Cheap and cheerful.

    It’s pretty easy place to access or find it’s on the main road into brighouse with plenty of parking spaces on offer I would say with the make over it’s had was needed it’s added some freshness to the place . I have eaten at this venue on many occasions but this time I like to settle for the mixed grill with like fried or waffled looking chips which were very tasty in fact all the meat s were nicely cooked the meal waiting time was not long the place was full of adults & kids so a mixture of customers plus the service was very good no hassle so I would recommend if passing do drop in.

    We went for the last 3 England Football matches.Despite being absolutely packed our food arrived in about ten minutes and was both hot and delicious The Staff were Terrific . The table was cleared within minutes of us finishing eating and empty glasses were removed very promptly . The bar service was very quick especially considering the vast amount of people in the pub Overall 3 very enjoyable experiences Well Done The Calder Team
