Brighouse Rock Climbing

If you’re scared of heights, this one may not be for you! ROKT Climbing Gym opened in April 2011 and the UK’s highest man-made outdoor climbing wall. The location has evolved into a broader activity center, including escape rooms, Yoga, NERF, Pilates and spinning classes.

ROKT offer courses and taster sessions for children and adults with beginner courses starting from £75 for 3 x 2 hour sessions.  The climbing walls are open from 10am to 10pm weekdays and 10am to 8pm at the weekend. If you don’t have all the equipment necessary, Rokt also hire out equipment:

– Boulder Chalk:(per session)£1.50
– Shoes: £3
– Harness: £2.50
– Belay Device: £2.50 (deposit required)

    I've been going to this place for about 4 months now and I pay the membership for unlimited climbing (Can't go wrong at £30 per month). Entry for non members is a reasonable £8 (£5 with a student card). You've got 4 bouldering rooms and the largest lead climb wall I've seen around plus 4 climbing silos for top roping (12 climbs per silo with differing grades). All good quality and the centre is well maintained with the routes changing at a regular intervals. All in all it recommend this place to anyone

    I booked just before covid hit and had to cancelled tried to get money back to no avail emailed and rung numerous times no answer. Still not got a refund or another booking they've still got my money.

    I have to say that the way it is organized is amazing. They have more activities than bouldering or rock climbing. the building has 4 floors with different levels, stuff, difficulties. The colour guide is different that the one I followed in previous boulders so it can take a bit until you start finding tracks suitable for yourself, but it will be fun.
