Black Bull

Located opposite the Town Hall, near the market, this Grade II listed hostelry was built in 1740 and is probably the oldest pub in Brighouse. To the rear, in the middle of the 19th century, there was once a cricket ground. These days this pub is very busy town centre hotel, made particularly lively at weekends by the young. Entertainment consists of live music, discos or karaoke and a large screen television.

The staff can’t do enough for you plus fun during the week quiz night plus bingo during the week with sky plus other sports on the wide screen always good to watch also good deals on drinks which ya can’t go wrong with

Having not been able to sit down because there were no free tables me and my two friends stood at the end of the bar out of the way for an hour or so and bought several drinks. We were then asked/told to move so people could get served despite there being nobody there needing serving. The bar staff (male) had been miserable all night and we will never be going in there again. Drinks are cheap but dreadful place. Avoid at all costs

Brilliant place which I visited because I met the new(ish) landlady at the Lewins in Halifax and loved the whole vibe of the place there & still visit. I called in to say hello but sadly I'd got her one night off a week so wasn't going to disturb her but they'd a brilliant selection of Motown, reggae and Northern playing in the background 😂 my lucky day !! I didn't know a soul when I went in but I do now. A really great group of locals who I'd happily spend a lot more time with and I'm not a drinker, half does me nowadays & why not when we're having nearly tropical weather?? Great company, brilliant pub, lovely bar staff & the clientele who must have ranged in ages from 20s to my age ( not going there 😂) and on a pretty quiet 🌃 we had a real 🎉 going on !! Now 🖤 bull Emma you couldn't have moved to a better bar, could be the best for a 🚮 and there's some really funky places in Brighouse so if you've not been for a while check tge place 📤 it's a bot like a war zone at 📦 because the old Wilkinsons stores 🐝 n pulled 👇 but still lots of life in the old 👧 yet !! My score 10/ 10 for starters . If our Emma works her 🔬 🐚 again all I can say is ⌚ this space !!!
