Richard Oastler

This Wetherspoon pub is an interesting conversion of a Methodist chapel built in 1878. In Autumn 2014 the pub was extended into a later chapel annex not previously occupied by the pub. This room is available for private functions. The main bar area is lit by two chandeliers hanging from an intriguingly decorated ceiling. Organ pipes, pews and even hymn book numbers can still be seen on the upper floor which is not open to the public.

I'm definitely a Spoony! But this was is above and beyond. A fabulous conversion from (what looks like a galleried chapel/ meeting house). Very tasteful, as are the beers and food. It was a visit during Brighouse 1940's Day. The staff immersed themselves in the roll. A joyous day, without a doubt. Score: 1940 out of 10 😎

Me and the wife thought we would save on the washing up and cooking and pop out to our local spoons in brighouse. You know what to expect when you enter a weatherspoons, reasonable food at affordable prices and a great selection of drinks. We settled on a mixed grill and a tuna Panini with some extra onion rings and a couple of pints of Budweiser. The food came in under 15 minutes and was cooked well and tasted good. There were a few rowdy people in there who looked and sounded like they had been there all day but I found it more amusing than annoying. It wasn't the cleanest with quite a few tables with empty plates and glasses but eventually they were tidied up. Overall we will obviously go back as we got exactly what we expected. Good drinks and good food for the little we spent

Our favourite nearby ‘Spoons (we’re lucky to also have a couple of others fairly local to choose from). Had another fab brekkie & coffee today. Great atmosphere, lovely staff & Brighouse has a good variety of nice shops for a wander afterwards.

Great pub with reasonably priced drinks and food. If there's a queue at the bar you can order via the app and get your drinks brought to your table. Food is always good quality and quickly served. Staff friendly, polite and professional.
