    Amazing!! I organised a 16th birthday meal this evening for around 40 people and given that I only booked this 2 weeks ago, the customer service was outstanding. To sending over the menus and guiding me through the food order process, they were always on hand to help me. When we arrived the table was set exactly as we had hoped and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. To say it was such a large number of guests, the food arrived quickly and exactly what was ordered no mistakes at all and was outstanding. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening to all staff involved and of course the amazing chef. I would recommend to anyone from a couples to a large family/friend get together. Amazing food and amazing staff and venue.

    Had lunch. The , quality, preparation, presentation and service were all excellent. Very generous portions. All in a lovely setting overlooking the lake. Will definitely be back .

    Casa brighouse what can I say???? It doesn’t deserve the 3 star rating it’s got it needs downgrading to a 1 or at the most a 2 star Service was terrible it took me 35 minutes to find someone interested enough to answer my query of where the reception was The room I was shown to wasn’t what I’d booked it had twin beds instead of the large double as I requested The room looked as if it had only the bare minimal cleaning done to it, the sliding doors to the outside area had the thinnest curtains up which let in light there was a radiator in the room but you couldn’t turn it on as the thermostat knob was missing so the only room with any warmth in it was the bathroom I could go on but I won’t Would I stay again??? Only if it was my funeral and I didn’t have a choice

    Myself and my partner travelled an hour round trip to come for food as we had seen so many good reviews. We did not make a reservation for the restaurant which is our mistake. When we arrived we spoke to the owner who told us it was a 40 minute wait for a table, we were happy to wait as it had already taken us 30 minutes to get there. Fortunately, the manager of the restaurant managed to squeeze us in within 5 minutes of us being told there would be a wait. I ordered a carbonara which was nice. My partner ordered the pan seared lamb which the waitress then took to the kitchen and came back to tell us there was no Hake, which is a completely different meal, my partner then confirmed that he had ordered lamb and the waitress then said oh sorry the lamb. We then waited 25 minutes for our order. My order was correct however they brought my partner pan seared Hake which he is not what he ordered. The waitress apologised and said that it was her fault and she would take this back and ask the kitchen to make Lamb. She then must’ve spoken to the kitchen and the restaurant manager as he came over and tried to make out that my partner has ordered the Hake, which he then again explained what had happened with the waitress and that he does not like fish and would prefer to have them make the lamb. The manager changed his tune and said it will take too long to make the lamb you can have a pizza instead and brought the menu back over. My partner did not want to have a pizza and felt pressured to have this meal as we were told the kitchen would be closing soon. However, I don’t understand that if we were to have waited the 40 minutes for the table and we had ordered the lamb and carbonara then the kitchen would’ve been open as this whole interaction happened within 40 minutes of us being seated…so he blatantly lied to our faces. I was extremely disappointed with the service and would not recommend coming here for a date night. This experience completely ruined our night and I was extremely annoyed for the rest of the date night. My partner still kindly paid the £50 bill. If I was him I would’ve refused to pay for the poor standard of service. He paid for the pizza he was practically forced to order as he was so hungry he ate it anyway. I am appalled at the blatant lies and trying to spin this issue on the customer. I will not go back to this eatery again.

    Called in for lunch at this superb location overlooking Cromwell Lake. Just a few minutes from the centre of Brighouse towards Elland, but seems a world away with the view over the water. Service was good and the food excellent. Not the first time we've been here and won't be the last.
