    We had an evening meal , 2 couples . It was very quiet which is a tragedy, and maybe due to previous owners? We were greeted a seated the staff were friendly and efficient the food was delicious , piping hot and beautifully presented. We had 2 courses and several drinks including wine and beer in a lovely setting and the bill was considerably less than £120 We had a lovely evening and highly recommended

    Family meal out (5 adults and 4 children). Food was first class. No meet and greet. Very poor service. Waited too long between courses, correct cutlery not provided until asked for, started clearing table before we had finished eating, wrong drinks, got the impression that waiters and waitresses had not been suitably trained, limited presence of floor management. Been there twice before when it clearly was different management - at which time everything was spot on.

    Went for a meal last night for my mums birthday there was 30 of us but there was only one other table that was in the restaurant we had to send our order of what we wanted a few days before, the food was dry and disgusting, we sent 3 meals back that hadn’t been touched, we ordered 9 steak of the rocks the manager said she sent out 9 there was only 8! One of out family members did not receive his main meal with was the other steak on the rock wich they said they had sent out they didn’t ?! service is slow they don’t know what they are doing, we ordered cocktails at the bar they didn’t know how to make it or even add it on the till someone else had to come sort it out, I’ll give it 3 month and it will be closed agen. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid definitely not the same!

    Stayed here for one night in the honey moon suite. Even though the hotel is lovely the room is quite dated and not the best cleanliness. Room- No bedside tables, no lamps, the television is very dated also no Netflix and not the best picture. The blinds well there’s no point shutting them as they let just as much light in. Had to ask staff for a bed sheet to cover the blinds for the morning and to allow us to watch tv without the sun beaming on it through the window. Cobwebs all over corner of windows and room, also pointed this out to staff member. Booked a meal for 6.30pm was told we would have to wait until the 2 bookings of 20 had done or we would be waiting along time for our meal to come, didn’t really bother us as we just had another drink but not very professional customer service. The meal- Starter lovely had prawns and the katsu chicken. Mains terrible. Had fillet steak stated it came with chunky chips but didn’t came with small fries I pointed this out the waitress took them back started eating them at the front of the kitchen with the chef in a busy restaurant but ordered us some Chunky ones very disappointed they came and looked light yellow like they had hardly been cooked, not fresh like from a freezer. My partners meal we asked for this medium rare- it was rare by this point I had just given up complaining. Hardly ate any of the meal and went back to our rooms still hungry, of course after this we didn’t bother with breakfast the next day. We did complain and we did get a discount on our meal which was right to do so seeing as we hardly ate any of it. Staff. The lady on the bar masie was really lovely and couldn’t do enough for us and tried to resolve any issues best she could.

    We had a meal this evening, the food was excellent and the service great. The staff very friendly and had a lovely time. Would recommend this restaurant. Will be going back again soon.
